Hi! My name is Ishaan Thakur. I am currently a Software Engineer @ SoFi where I interned during Summer 2021 as well. Previously, I completed my B.S. + MEng. @ Cornell University in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science.
I am passionate about Software Engineering and have industry level and research experience in Software Engineering, Algorithms, ML, Networking, Databases, Backend Development and Distributed Systems.
In the past, I have interned at On Pepper [Summer 2020] on their Voice Experience Team, at ESnet, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab [Summer 2019] on their Scientific Network Division Team and at Swarm Robotix (Nokia Hub 88) [Summer 2018] on their Controls Team.
I completed my M.Eng. thesis involving analysing implications of Metaheuristic algorithms performance on Deep Neural Networks as part of Chiang's group at Cornell. In the past, I have also been part of several research groups including Autonomous Systems Lab and ACSU at Cornell.
